Charlie Roberson

Charlie learned to dive in 1991 while stationed in Charleston, SC. His open water check out dives were conducted in N. Florida at Madison Blue and Troy springs where he got his first glimpse of cave divers entering the cave. Right then, Charlie knew he wanted to learn to cave dive. Soon after, Charlie's ship changed homeport to Guam so he spent the next two-years diving the wrecks and deep walls of the Western Pacific. In 1997, Charlie moved to Florida to pursue his dream of cave-diving. Years later, Charlie is still cave diving and is currently a guide at Mill Creek (Alachua) Sink, Indian Springs, and Diepolder.

Since 2011, Charlie has been an active member of Karst Underwater Research (KUR). He has participated in KUR exploration and survey projects at Weeki Wachee/Twin Dees, Manatee Springs, M2 Blue, Suwannee Spring, Phantom Springs, and Falmouth-Cathedral. Charlie is also an active member of the Madison Blue Springs Survey Project and the Woodville Karst Plain Project.
